Then my sis showed me Groundwork…. Especially for tan and darker skin tones, Groundwork makes your entire lid all nice and even.

Groundwork for me personally is great because you can achieve a natural look in no time. What really great is how you can create texture and depth using other eye shadow and as for pigment on top for a really dramatic look.. This is probably my single most loved and used makeup product. I actually purchased it after seeing Lisa Eldridge using it in a video. Absolutely wonderful product. Your email address will not be published. It has no shimmer nor pearly finish, but it doesn't look too mat, i'd say it's very sheer on the eyelids.

Sorelle GrapevineMAC Paint Pot Groundwork - Swatch and Review

I bought this particular shade to use as a wash of color all over the lid, to create an effortless, one product, daytime smokey look. That's what i did in the picture below, even though my lights make it look very subtle, i can tell that in real life it picked up much more.

I just intensifyied the look by smudging a soft black pencil trough the upper and lower lash line. There's a multitude of looks you can create with this product, and it works perfectly as a longlasting eyeshadow base as well. I guess i'll just never stop raving about this eyeshadow. Products used in the picture: What I love: As the claims go, these are super creamy eye shadows that dry to a intense dry finish and stay put on the lids throughout. These can be used as eye shadows on their own, just that blending should happen super fast, because these set very quickly.

I tend to use these as eye primers. In fact the paint pots are the best eye primers, that I have used till date. I have super ,super oily lids that tend to crease within minutes of wearing eye shadow. Even the best eye primers tend to crease on my lids within few hours. But these paint pots are life, for someone who has oily lids like mine. My eye makeup stays put for a good 7 to 8 hours when I prime my lids with the prolong wear paint pot. It can be worn beneath any eye shadow, be it colors or neutrals.
